A home museum for ages 5 to 19. Krishna, Shakti and Kalki guide children through four living zones, a 3D cyan hologram gallery, all 36 districts, 23 songs and six STEAM-M games, from the Deccan basalt to LIGO-India.
Each tile is one district, placed roughly where it lies: the Konkan coast on the left, Vidarbha on the right. Tap a tile to open it.
Three storytelling guides walk every visitor through the museum. They carry memories of the four yugas and bring them to the soil of Maharashtra. Their words below come from the museum's own scripts.
Holds the flute and the eternal rhythm of time. Leads the songs and the stories of saints and seasons.
“Truth found a simpler, deeper voice here, the voice of the Warkaris walking to Pandharpur.”
The creative energy of forests, festivals and the people. Leads the arts and nature exhibits.
“Look deep into this stone. This is the skeleton of Maharashtra.”
Reads forts, water systems and data. Leads the engineering, mathematics and management games.
“The Western Ghats act as a climatic wall. Geography here is destiny.”

The yugas are a traditional frame used here for storytelling. Facts in the exhibits come from history, geology and science, and the museum keeps the two clearly apart.
Each zone has its own sound world, exhibits and songs. Every exhibit has a QR code that opens the song, one verified fact, a reflection question and a small challenge.

Drag to turn, pinch or scroll to zoom. Switch to red-cyan 3D for anaglyph glasses, or to VR split for a cardboard phone viewer.
The models are simplified teaching sculptures built from shapes, not surveyed reconstructions. Fort layouts, attire and dances are shown in spirit; visit the real places and ask local experts for details.
Subtitles in 23 languages: English,
Ten scenes, about ninety seconds: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's idea of Swarajya, and what it asks of Kalki Consciousness officers today.
The film is an original animation drawn in the page. Events follow widely accepted history; the Rayareshwar oath is presented as tradition. The Rajmudra verse is a 17th-century inscription.
Every year before Ashadhi Ekadashi, lakhs of warkaris walk with the palkhis of Sant Dnyaneshwar from Alandi and Sant Tukaram from Dehu to Pandharpur, singing abhangs to the beat of tal and mridang.
Warkaris keep the beat with brass tal cymbals. Press Start, then tap on every beat for 16 beats. The gold rings mark sam, the first beat of each cycle.
Change the number of walking days and your step length to see how far a warkari walks each day.
A Marathi folk-fusion song about the lost mirror of the self. The camera travels across the artwork to Fugdi, Lezim, Koli, Dhangari Gaja, Tarpa, Gondhal, Lavani and Povada as each verse is sung, with the lyrics as subtitles.
Camera timing follows the order of the verses and is approximate. The song's lyrics carry the PRUTL message: Pride, Rule, Usurp, Tempt and Lust lose the mirror; Peace, Respect, Trust, Unity and Love find it again.
What Maharashtra wears and makes, from nine-yard saris to Warli walls. Tap View in 3D to see a piece in the hologram gallery.
Open a district to see what it is known for, places to visit, a STEAM-M activity and a lesson through the four Sanatan Labs frameworks.
Ajanta Caves, Ellora Caves, Elephanta Caves, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, the Victorian Gothic and Art Deco Ensembles of Mumbai, the Western Ghats (including Kaas Plateau), and the Maratha Military Landscapes of India. The last, inscribed in 2025, covers 12 forts: Salher, Shivneri, Lohagad, Khanderi, Raigad, Rajgad, Pratapgad, Suvarnadurg, Panhala, Vijaydurg and Sindhudurg in Maharashtra, and Gingee in Tamil Nadu.
District names follow the current official names, including Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad), Dharashiv (formerly Osmanabad) and Ahilyanagar (formerly Ahmednagar). Check timings, entry rules and monsoon safety advisories before visiting any fort, waterfall or sanctuary.
Slide through time from the Satya Yuga of legend to today's smart villages. The yugas are shown as a storytelling lens; the dated eras come from archaeology and history.
The scenes are original illustrations drawn in the page from what archaeology and history describe; they are not photographs. Each era links to Wikimedia Commons, where many old prints and photographs are public domain; check the licence shown on each image before reusing it.
The plateau is built from layer upon layer of Deccan Trap basalt. Here is what it holds underground, where its rivers run, its highest hills, places to picnic and how to stay safe.
The Sahyadri crest divides the waters. Long rivers flow east across the plateau to the Bay of Bengal; short, fast rivers fall west to the Arabian Sea; the Tapi runs west along a rift valley in the north. Tap a river.
Approximate heights above sea level, in metres. Kalsubai is the highest point in Maharashtra.
Most accidents at hills, forts and waterfalls happen in the monsoon, when places look most beautiful. Check India Meteorological Department (IMD) alerts and local closures before you go.
Each UN Sustainable Development Goal, what it means here, the precaution to take and one thing a child can do.
Fifteen exhibit songs, 14 of them with full recordings, six division anthems and a Maharashtra–Gujarat friendship song. Press play on a recorded song, or tap Play rhythm for a beat sketch.
The rhythm sketches are simple synthesised beats to help with rehearsal and do not replace recordings with live dhol, tasha, tabla and voices. Record each song with a lead singer, a children's chorus and real instruments.
Songs and films that carry the museum's values. They open on YouTube in a new tab.

Lonar Lake sits in a crater about 1.8 km wide, made when a space rock struck basalt. Choose a rock and its speed to see the energy and the crater it could make.
Mumbai's dabbawalas deliver lakhs of lunches each day with a painted code instead of computers. In this simplified code, the second set of letters is the destination station. Send each tiffin to the right crate.
Sahyadri forts survived the dry months with rock-cut tanks (taka) filled by the monsoon. Size the catchment and see if the garrison lasts the 240 dry days from October to May.
Warli painters use rice paste on a mud wall. A person is two triangles joined at the tip; the tarpa dance is a spiral of joined hands. Build your own wall.
A rangoli drawn at Gudi Padwa or Diwali repeats one shape around a centre. Change the symmetry order and watch the angle change.
Hiware Bazar became a model village by planning water together. Run a 1,000-hectare village with 1,500 people: choose watershed works and crops, and keep the water balance above zero.
The games use simplified models with rounded, illustrative numbers. They teach how quantities relate; they are not engineering or farming advice.
Every exhibit, district and game is read through the same four questions. These are Sanatan Labs teaching frameworks; the lessons are educational mappings, not claims about where each tradition comes from.
